All Things ‘Eco’ in GlampEco Stays

Apart from being India’s first luxury glamping dome stay, GlampEco Stays Manali is happy to share what the ‘Eco’ in it stands for and how sustainability is truly at the heart of this 9000 ft. high glamping stay in Manali.

Mindfully made with mud

Created with mud dug out of the neighbouring sites and using bamboo, stones, slates from the hillsides, the mud rooms at GlampEco Stays are cosy and sustainable alternatives to the conventional less eco-conscious building materials. The common game and eating area on the top floor also has mud walls giving it an earthy touch and also keeping you cold in summers and warm in winters.

Gently saying
NO to plastic

From cutlery to packets of Maggi, GlampEco Manali stays clear of single use plastic including bottled water and refuses to get caught up in the idea of having ‘Maggi in the mountains’ at the cost of adding to plastic waste in the valley.

Sustainable welcome kits and souvenirs

Our precious guests are welcomed with all things nature-friendly. Bamboo toothbrushes, toothpaste tablets, plantable notebooks and recycled travel kits mark the welcome of guests in their domes. If you have the space and mood to buy a keepsake, we have hand knitted fuzzy socks, organic lip balms, body butter and some locally baked macarons.

Geodesic Domes

Both the standard and premium category luxury domes at GlampEco Stays are highly energy efficient, resistant to natural calamities, and have been mindfully constructed with recyclable materials and low consumption lighting.

Green and clean

One of the first aesthetic things noticed at GlampEco is the plethora of flowers and leaves that are grown here with utmost care and nourishment. Many small apple trees and one charge cherry blossom tree blooms here during the Spring season.

Waste segregation and recycling

All the food in the GlampEco kitchen is prepared from scratch. We follow the best practices of waste segregation here. Every person at GlampEco is aware of the importance of the five Rs of sustainability and you’d spot many recycled pots and things of beauty in this space.
